Welcome to your Nova Scotia Vacation Home! This historic home was built in the 1800s by J.W. Mitchell, the last lighthouse keeper on Jeddore Head. It is now owned by Mitchell's great-great-great-nephew.

The three-bedroom house sits on a beautiful unspoiled coastal point that reaches out into a calm ocean inlet in Jeddore Head, Nova Scotia (a 40 minute drive from Halifax). The ocean is about 75 feet from the back door, and provides abundant views of the water from the house. The house is equipped with modern conveniences: internet, cable TV, phone, modern kitchen and baths, and more, but it retains the original spirit of the house.

You can watch great blue herons, bald eagles, small mammals, and aquatic life -- all from the comfort of the back deck. Swimming, fishing, boating, and nature-watching are all available on the property. In the evenings, roast marshmallows over a campfire in the large yard's fire pit.

Enjoy peace, privacy, and the country setting without total isolation -- the house is reachable by good paved roads, and is only 40 minutes from Halifax and Halifax International Airport (YHZ). From the Maine border, the house is a 6 hour drive, and Cape Breton Island is an easy 3 1/2 hour drive away.
